Mediterranean Terroir in the Bekaa Valley
Château Marsyas is located in the southern Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, close to the Syrian border, where vineyards are planted at elevations of around 900 to 1,200 meters above sea level. The estate was founded by the Saadé family, who are also behind the renowned Château Bargylus project in Syria. With Château Marsyas, the family set out to highlight the remarkable potential of high-altitude viticulture in the Bekaa Valley.
The vineyards lie on limestone and claysoils, benefiting from warm sunny days and cool mountain nights. This strong diurnal temperature variation allows the grapes to ripen fully while preserving freshness and aromatic precision. The combination of altitude, Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils gives the wines both structure and elegance.
