Domaine Alex Moreau focuses primarily on Chardonnay, crafting wines that emphasize balance, freshness and site transparency. Harvest decisions are made with precision in order to preserve natural acidity while achieving full ripeness of the fruit.
Fermentation takes place in French oakbarrels, followed by ageing on the lees to build texture and complexity. The proportion of new oak is carefully controlled and varies depending on the appellation, allowing the wines to gain structure while maintaining clarity and finesse. Lees ageing contributes depth while preserving the vibrant characterof the fruit.
The wines are defined by citrus, whitestone fruit and subtle floral aromas, supported by a fine mineral backbone. On the palate they combine concentration with precision and a long, elegant finish. Domaine Alex Moreau produces Chassagne-Montrachet that is both refinedand expressive, offering a modern interpretation of this historic terroir.
