Mountain Terroir of Stellenbosch
Keermont Vineyards is located in the upper Blaauwklippen Valley in Stellenbosch, surrounded by the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges. The estate sits in a naturally protected amphitheatre of vineyards, where altitude, varied slopes and diverse soils create exceptional conditions for viticulture. This unique setting gives the wines both structure and freshness, with cooling mountain influences balancing the warm South African climate.
The vineyards are planted between roughly 250 and 400 meters above sea level on soils composed of decomposed granite, sandstone and clay. These conditions encourage deep root systems and naturally balanced vine growth. Keermont is committed to careful, sustainable vineyard management, allowing each site to express its own character within the broader landscape of Stellenbosch.
