Clarity and Precision in the Cellar
The wines of Weingut Fritsch focus primarily on Austria’s classic grape varieties, most notably Grüner Veltlinerand Riesling. These varieties thrive in the loess soils of Wagram, where they develop both vibrant freshness and layered texture.
Harvesting is carried out with careful selection in order to preserve purity and balance. Vinification is deliberately restrained. Fermentation generally takes place in stainless steel tanks to maintain aromatic precision and transparency of fruit. The wines then spend time ageing on their lees, which adds depth and structure while keeping the wines focused and energetic.
The resulting wines show bright citrus, stone fruit and the characteristic white pepper notes of Grüner Veltliner, supported by a subtle mineral backbone. They combine clarity, structure and elegance, offering a refined expression of Wagram’s unique terroir.
