A Rheingau Icon
Weingut Robert Weil is one of the most historic and respected estates of the Rheingau. Founded in 1875 and located in the village of Kiedrich, the winery quickly gained international recognition for its Rieslings, which were already served at royal courts across Europe in the late nineteenth century. Today the estate remains family-owned and is ledby Wilhelm Weil, the fourth generation to oversee the domaine.
The vineyards lie on the steep slopes surrounding Kiedrich and benefit from an ideal southern exposure along the Rhine. The soils are dominated by slate, quartzite and phyllite, which provide excellent drainage and contribute to the distinctive mineral character of the wines. Combined with the cool Rheingau climate, these conditions allow Riesling to ripen slowly while preserving vibrant acidity and remarkable aromatic precision.
